FAQ

About the Coaching

  • What is Marcy’s approach?
Marcy tailors each session to your goals and background, empowering you to grow with personalized feedback and customized strategies. She believes that students should feel empowered, motivated, encouraged, and fulfilled by their teachers, and that a professional yet trusting relationship with a meditation teacher yields dramatically greater progress for students than they can experience without a teacher who knows their practice well.

  • Does Marcy have specialties or traditions that she teaches?
Marcy specializes in helping people navigate challenges that arise because of intensive meditation practice. Her background includes pragmatic Dharma, vipassana, Advaita Vedanta, Mahamudra, and Rinzai Zen. Marcy also helps people integrate the attentiveness principles of meditation into their daily lives and relationships. Her trademarked approach to relational mindfulness, Embodied Teaching, is naturally woven throughout sessions that focus on daily life joys and challenges as well as insight and traditional meditation perspectives.
